The Scarborough Spa Complex is probably unique
among British conference venues not only because of
its location, right on the sea front in the scenically
beautiful South Bay, but also for the variety of facilities housed
in what is largely a magnificent Victorian building.
The three main meeting halls are
the Grand Hall, Spa Theatre and
Ocean Room. The Grand Hall has
a capacity of 1,920, the Spa Theatre
620 and Ocean Room 850.
All are equipped with sound systems
and comfortable seating which in the
case of the Grand Hall and Ocean
Room can be offered in theatre style
or classroom formats. Also, with
seating removed, the Grand Hall has 823m2 of exhibition space
and the Ocean Room 886m2, which can be augmented with
additional space in adjoining lounge areas. A number of
additional rooms are available for break-out meetings, workshops
and seminars.
Catering at the Complex is co-ordinated by the in-house
Catering Services team with the expertise to provide banquets
for up to 700 people, to the highest possible standard of cuisine
and service. There are also a number of bar and refreshment
areas within the Complex.
